Maintenance Schedule

If you struggle remembering what times of year are the best to maintain your landscape, here is the schedule that I stick to! 

**Remember to avoid performing any landscape maintenance tasks while it's wet outside.**

Maintenance tasks that can be done anytime as needed: 

- Weeding

- Mulching

- Edging

- Light Pruning & Deadheading

Winter (After frost)

- Prune trees

- Rejuvenation prune overgrown shrubs

- Prune Winter flowering shrubs after bloom

- Prune non-flowering shrubs

- Cut back all perennials, grasses, & tropical plants

- Prune roses

- Mulch fallen leaves and reuse in flower beds

Spring

- Prune Spring flowering shrubs after bloom

- Prune climbing roses after bloom

- Plant herbaceous perennials and tropical plants

- Top dress flower beds with pine straw to give a tidy, cohesive look

Summer

- Monitor soil moisture and water as needed

- Prune Summer flowering shrubs after bloom

Fall

- Plant trees and shrubs

- Prune Fall flowering shrubs after bloom

- Transplant plants from one spot to another if desired
